Rex

I found him running the streets in January 2014. I did not want to keep him at first because I knew someday I would also have to let go. The day has come and it was harder than I ever dreamed it would be. Rex gave me so much throughout our 11 years. He taught me patience unconditional love and what it means to give of yourself. On Halloween he would stay on the front porch and greet each and every child that came up to the door and patiently wait for the next group. He was and always will be my soulmate. Saying goodbye today was the most painful experience in my life because I never thought I could love so deeply. Thank you my buddy Rex and I know you loved me just as much because you showed it every day. You may not come to me when I call your name now but you are never so far away that I would have to even call your name because you’re in my heart and my thoughts every day… always. I love you so much, Dad
